Living Well Alaska Workshops

Living Well Alaska

South Peninsula Hospital has been offering the Living Well Alaska workshops for community members once or twice a year since 2009. The focus is on learning to stay as healthy and active as possible even when dealing with health conditions such as arthritis, diabetes, pre-diabetes, high blood pressure, depression, obesity, and basically any ongoing health condition that requires long term self-management. These fun, interactive workshops were developed by Stanford University and are offered all over the country. In Alaska, training of leaders is through the Department of Health and Social Services and Cooperative Extension.

The next Living Well Workshop is scheduled for September 20th-October 25th, weekly on Mondays from 5pm-7pm, online via Zoom. There is no charge for this workshop, and all you need is a computer, tablet or smartphone and a quiet, private space with a reliable internet connection!

If you are interested in participating in this fun, life changing opportunity, contact PeggyEllen Kleinleder at (907) 235-0311 to register or for more information.
