Who can get a COVID-19 vaccine booster? Anyone who is at least six months after their second dose of the Pfizer vaccine series who meets the specific eligibility criteria. Pfizer booster doses are only recommended for certain individuals who have received two doses of Pfizer vaccine. Booster doses are not authorized for those who received the Moderna or Johnson & Johnson vaccines.
There will be a booster shot clinic on Friday, October 15th at Homer High School – eligibility criteria applies and appointments required.
FREE flu shots will be available during your booster shot appointment, or on a drop-in basis for those not receiving a booster shot.

The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine is authorized for individuals 12 years of age and older. Moderna and Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) COVID-19 vaccines are authorized only for individuals 18 years of age and older. Information about COVID-19 vaccines:
- mRNA vaccines (both Pfizer & Moderna)
- Pfizer-Biontech–authorized under FDA Emergency Use Authorization for individuals 12 – 15 years of age;
- COMIRNATY (Pfizer-Biontech) – Fully approved by FDA for 16 years of age and older
- Moderna – authorized under FDA Emergency Use Authorization for 18 years and up
- Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) – authorized under FDA Emergency Use Authorization for 18 years and up.
