Jill M. Rife, DNP

Jill grew up on the East Coast and is a self-proclaimed “Jersey girl”.

She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Environmental, Populational, and Organismic Biology from the University of Colorado Boulder. She then earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Science from Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, CO, and continued her education at the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA), obtaining her Master of Science in Nursing Science with a Family Nurse Practitioner focus in 2006, and later her Doctorate of Nursing Practice.

Jill is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is a certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist from the American College of Sports Medicine and a Certified Medical Examiner from the Federal Carrier Motor Safety Administration.

Jill has been at Homer Medical Center since 2013.  Prior to joining the team at Homer Medical Center, she practiced in a family practice in Soldotna.

Jill’s husband Bruce is a Science Teacher at Homer High School and they have two children. She enjoys time spent with family, and outdoor activities.
