Lisa is a Doctor of Nursing Practice, Board Certified in Adult-Gerontology, and Acute Care Nurse practitioner from Charlottesville, Va. She came to the Nurse Practitioner role from Virginia Commonwealth University’s 28 bed Medical Respiratory Intensive Care Unit in Richmond, VA. She was a staff nurse there, and then Senior Clinical Coordinator for almost nine years, collaborating with a large interdisciplinary team. She obtained her Doctorate of Nursing Practice with her scholarly project of ‘Inter-professional Simulation and Improvement in Teamwork, Collaboration, and Communication.”
Lisa was born in California but has spent most of her life in Oregon and Virginia. She has been married to her husband David for almost 20 years and they have 3 children, Emily, Bethany, and Silas. They moved to Homer in 2017 in order for David to study at the Alaska Bible Institute.
