Sonja Martin Young, ANP, CNM

Sonja grew up in Alaska and left the state to obtain a B.S. in Psychology at the Metropolitan State College of Denver and a Nurse Doctorate at the University Of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Sonja went on to earn a Certified Nurse Midwifery Degree from the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing in Hyden, KY.

Sonja specializes in midwifery and women’s health. She started practicing in Homer in 2000 as a registered nurse and in 2002 as a midwife. She has been helping women bring their babies into the world, providing women’s care and reproductive services since then.

Sonja is married and has a variety of animals. Her hobbies include riding and caring for horses, hiking with their dogs, and growing amazing plants in her aquaponic greenhouse.
