Medication Support for Substance Use Recovery

Substance use disorders are chronic health conditions—much like diabetes or heart disease—and can be managed with medications that support recovery and reduce harm.

At Homer Medical Center, we offer confidential, compassionate care for individuals seeking help with opioid or alcohol use. Our providers can prescribe FDA-approved medications, including:

  • Buprenorphine – also known as Suboxone
  • Naltrexone – also known as Revia or Vivitrol

These medications can help:

  • Reduce cravings
  • Decrease opioid or alcohol use
  • Ease withdrawal symptoms
  • Lower the risk of overdose

Our team will work with you in a nonjudgmental environment to set treatment goals, provide ongoing support, and help you navigate recovery options that fit your needs.
